Lightweight Fill in the Underground Garage Structure of the Elite Apartment Park

The Energocell® foam glass granules were used in the construction of the Elite Apartment Park as well, one of the largest luxury apartment block projects in Buda. The garage connects the two wings enclosing the inner courtyard under ground level. The modern design with a stepped formation of the inner courtyard creates a pleasant atmosphere for the dwellers, and for this several steps were shaped on the upper part of the slab covering the underground garage. The thickness of the predetermined growing medium would have varied significantly at the steps, and for this reason the foam glass granules were used to relieve the loads in these places. In contrast with various types of lightweight concrete the Energocell® foam glass granules provide a more cost-efficient solution, and are easier to use, because beside compaction the material does not require additional works.
