Dome houses are generally environment- and energy-conscious buildings, therefore, thermal insulation made of recycled materials fits naturally into this system. The Energocell® foam glass granules are an ideal option for the thermal insulation of dome houses, because they are frost-proof, have a close cell structure, and capillarity barrier effect. Each structure of the dome house envelope (floor, wall, roof) can be thermally insulated with the granules. For separation from the soil geotextile needs to be used.
